Job Role
A superb opportunity has arisen for an experienced Toolmaker to join a busy manufacturing site in Tamworth. Working closely with the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will support production efficiency by manufacturing, maintaining and repairing tooling and associated components to a high standard.
The role involves operating tool room machinery, responding to tooling breakdowns and producing new tools or components from drawings to ensure production continues to run efficiently. The company offers a supportive engineering environment where high standards of workmanship, safety and teamwork are strongly valued.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements
* Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
* An Engineering qualification
* Ability to read technical drawings.
* Understanding of engineering workshop environment
Requirements
* Proven experience working as a Toolmaker or within a workshop environment.
* Experience supporting maintenance teams with production breakdowns.
* Knowledge of continuous improvement and engineering best practices.
* Strong understanding of tool room machinery and safe workshop practices
Desirable Requirements
* Experience maintaining and repairing extrusion or mould tooling.
* Strong understanding of tool room machinery and safe workshop practices.
* Previous experience within plastics, extrusion or moulding manufacturing environments.
* Experience maintaining and repairing extrusion or mould tooling.
