About
Area Sales Manager – Midlands
We are working with a national distribution group who specialise in the distribution of engineering consumables. There product range is diverse and ranges from specialised fasteners through to PPE supplies – making them a one stop shop for engineering and manufacturing businesses.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and driven sales professional to join an ever-expanding group – with 29 sites and 20,000 + customers – your role as Area Sales Manager will be key for the future growth of the Midlands region.
The company are offering a full training and development plan for the successful candidate and opportunities to progress within the wider group.
What you’ll be doing
Responsibilities
From the moment you join this business, you will be hands on within the development of new business as well as developing relationships with key accounts within your Midlands sales region. Your responsibilities will include:
* Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned area
* Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to promote new products and services
* Active participation with promotions and campaigns
* Represent the company at industry events, trade show and networking opportunities
* Engaging key suppliers for increased opportunity
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders
* Address customer concerns and ensure satisfaction to promote repeat business and referrals
* Develop and implement customer retention strategies
* Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure a consistent flow of business opportunities
* Monitor the sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring timely follow-up and effective negotiation
Benefits
A Competitive base salary of between £35,000 to £40,000 per annum (Based on Experience)
