Job description - the role

On Behalf of Arup, we are looking for a HVDC Electrical Engineerfor a 6-month contract based in Manchester.
Arup is delivering expert technical advice, design and innovation on world leading HVDC projects across the UK, EU and globally. This ranges from HVDC interconnectors to HVDC connected offshore wind to innovation in HVDC technology and infrastructure. You will join an experienced and enthusiastic technical team, helping to drive the energy transition through delivery of innovative, resilient and sustainable HVDC infrastructure. The role will involve leading delivery of projects within a team or as an individual as well as leading or contributing to bids and business development initiatives. The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a proven ability to understand client requirements and provide innovative yet pragmatic and cost-effective solutions.
Candidate Profile: Key accountabilities, skills & experience
We are looking for candidates with demonstrable technical HVDC experience holding a degree in Electrical Engineering /Electrical Power Systems or similar. Preferably you will be a Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership with the IET.
