Shifts: Monday to Friday: start times between 16:30 and 18:00 Rates of pay: Basic: £17.00 per hour Overtime £25.50 per hour Benefits include: The benefits as a HGV Class 1 Night Driver will be : Excellent hourly rates Ongoing work Weekly pay Site canteen Training provided (including FLT licence) Immediate starts Employee well-being programme Day-to-day duties: As a HGV Class 1 Night Driver, your duties will include (but not be limited to): Carrying out collections and deliveries.
Loading and unloading with an FLT (full training and licence provided) Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured properly Adhering to traffic laws and regulations Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo when required Essential skills: To be successful as a HGV Class 1 Night Driver, you will need: A valid UK Category CE licence A minimum of 24 months' experience driving CE vehicles No more than six penalty points for minor infringements, with no major endorsement codes A valid UK CPC card and Digi card Good spoken and written English Punctuality and excellent time-keeping skills A solid understanding of traffic laws and regulations Effective communication skills Desirable experience: Previous commercial driving experience Previous RDC delivery experience.
