Salary: £34,628 paLocation: Morden, LondonFull time: 7-3 Mon-Thurs, 6-2 Fri (40hrs pw)Duration: 6 months initially but likely to become permanentDescription:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cylinder Operative to work with one of our prestigious clients based in Morden. You will be working within a highly trained team responsible for the identification, inspection, and safe movement of acetylene gas cylinders.*This is physical work, all applicants must pass a drug / alcohol tests and not be colour blind.The RoleAs a member of the production team, you will be working in the manufacturing facility that produces high quality gas cylinders to our customers who use our products for Food preparation, Pharmaceutical, Universities and many other industriesThis is a hands-on position with considerable physical elements such as handling cylinders, operating process equipment, analysers and using scanners/computersYou will be a highly enthusiastic individual who is keen to learn all of our operations and takes pride in their work. You should be able to use Microsoft Excel, Office 365 or equivalentYou will be able to understand our requirements to follow our Safety, Quality and Environmental standardsFurthermore, you will be required to follow our operating procedures diligentlyAdherence to strict Health and Safety rules and regulations ensuring the workplace is in an orderly fashion complying with all safety requirementsThere are development opportunities across the site, including laboratory analysis work and logisticsRequirementsYou are energetic, self-motivated and disciplinedGCSE / NVQ (or Equivalent) in Maths and EnglishDriving experience is preferred as we will train you in driving a Forklift TruckFurthermore, you have experience of operating in a manufacturing, engineering or scientific environment is preferableYour approach is systematic and logicalAs a team player, you possess great communication skills as well as a good command of EnglishIn addition, you are able to work to a time-based planDesirableLive close proximity to Morden site due to early startsTo ApplyThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a World leader in its field and will offer job security as well as further development opportunities for the right person.
