Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
Specialist School – Trafford
Full-Time | Immediate Start | Up to 550 per week

Have you recently graduated with a Psychology or similar degree, or do you bring a proven track record of relevant experience within SEN support?
A welcoming specialist school in Trafford is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (SEN) to join their team and support pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, communication difficulties, and associated learning challenges.
The Role – Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
As a Learning Support Assistant (SEN), you will work closely with teachers and specialist staff to provide tailored support to pupils across the school. Support may take place 1:1, in small groups, or within the classroom, helping students engage with lessons and build confidence.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting pupils with EHCPs to access learning
2. Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
3. Assisting with classroom activities and structured interventions
4. Working alongside teachers and SEN specialists to implement support strategies
5. Helping create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Ideal Candidate – Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
11. Degree preferred but not essential
12. Relevant experience in SEN Support, Care, Youth Work or Sports Coaching advantageous
13. Patient, compassionate, and resilient personality
14. Strong communication and teamwork skills
15. Experience with children or SEN is beneficial but not required
