IT Technician
An opportunity has arisen with immediate effect for a IT Technician with excellent technical skills to contribute to the continued support of the Trust Digital Service Department.
Primary responsibilities include:
* Perform a professional second line technical support service for Trust users.
* Configure, operate and maintain endpoint hardware and software including laptops, desktops, mobile phones and tablets and associated accessories and peripherals.
* Deliver a robust, customer‑focused technical support service on a day‑to‑day basis.
* Adhere to policies and processes to protect the technical support service.
* Ensure operational processes are in place to maintain secure configuration and manage configuration items.
* Propose and agree configuration items with proper naming conventions.
* Carry out agreed operational procedures, including configuration, maintenance, backup, and restore of hardware/software platforms.
* Identify operational problems, investigate, diagnose, and resolve low‑impact operational problems within incident management procedures and SLA tolerances.
* Accept escalations and initiate first‑level support action, providing technical expertise to enable correct application of operational procedures.
* Conduct investigations of operational problems, provide reports and proposals for improvement to specialists, users, and managers.
* Prioritise and diagnose incidents, investigate causes, and seek resolution.
* Escalate unresolved incidents, ensuring effective interface between users and service providers and documenting supported components.
