Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, patient and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support pupils with diverse additional needs, including learning difficulties, ASD, physical disabilities, communication needs, and social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN.
Assist teachers in planning and delivering differentiated learning activities.
Promote independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing in pupils.
Support pupils with personal care needs (where required).
Implement individual learning plans (ILPs), behaviour plans and intervention strategies.
Use a range of communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton) where appropriate.
Contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, support staff and families.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Assist with record-keeping and maintaining SEN documentation
