We are a growing provider of children's services, and we're looking for an exceptional Responsible Individual to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to lead and oversee our entire portfolio of services, ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance across all provisions.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary: £70,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
* Location: East London, with travel required across all service locations.
* Hybrid working (remote and in service when needed)
About the Role
As the Responsible Individual, you will be the cornerstone of our organisation's quality and compliance. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping our services and ensuring they meet and exceed regulatory standards.
You will be responsible for overseeing:
* Our Children's Home: Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stable environment for the children in our care.
* Semi-Independent Living Service (6 accommodations):
* 2 in Barking
* 3 in Manor Park
* 1 in Waltham Forest
* 18+ Outreach Provision: Providing support and guidance to young adults across East London.
Your primary focus will be on maintaining a culture of excellence, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring that all services are fully compliant with Ofsted regulations and all relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and guidance to all service managers and teams.
* Quality Assurance: Oversee and implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of care.
* Compliance: Act as the named Responsible Individual for Ofsted, ensuring all services are fully compliant with regulations and statutory requirements.
* Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of all services, implementing improvements where necessary.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and other key stakeholders.
* Team Development: Mentor, support, and develop service managers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to lead their teams effectively.
What We're Looking For
* A proven leader with significant experience at a senior management level within children's services.
* Thorough knowledge and understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and all relevant legislation.
* Experience in overseeing multiple services, including children's homes, semi-independent living, and outreach provision.
* Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
* A strong commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
* A relevant professional qualification in social work or a related field is highly desirable.
