We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time SEND Teacher to join our inclusive and nurturing school community in High Wycombe. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with children who require additional support to achieve their full potential, in a role that offers both challenge and great reward.
You will work with a small group of pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), developing personalised learning plans and using creative, tailored strategies to help each child thrive academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND
Develop and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO
Create a supportive, safe, and engaging classroom environment
Use a range of strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement
Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies
Contribute to EHCP reviews and other statutory assessments as requiredThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience working with children with SEND, particularly in a mainstream or specialist setting
A thorough understanding of a range of SEND needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties
Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
