We're looking for a Premises Officer to join our Lewisham PFI Schools team based in Lewisham. Location: Deptford Green School, Lewisham Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday) We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role. The Premises Officer plays an essential role in ensuring the optimal functioning and safety of our school premises. You'll be part of a supportive team, working proactively to manage maintenance tasks, respond quickly to issues, and coordinate activities that keep our schools running smoothly. As a Premises Officer, you'll be working within the Lewisham PFI Schools team, supporting them in maintaining safe, functional, and welcoming school environments. Your day to day will include: Conducting regular quality checks of the premises to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality Carrying out minor repairs such as fixing light fixtures, addressing plumbing issues, and maintaining door hardware Performing planned preventative maintenance and liaising with external contractors for larger repairs Assisting school staff with porterage tasks including furniture moving, display mounting, and equipment repairs Maintaining site security by opening and locking gates, patrolling the premises, and responding to incidents according to school procedures What are we looking for?
