This role supports the Housing Partnership Manager and the Housing Partners in the South West Housing Team (Devon, Bristol, Somerset and Dorset) in the delivery of both projects and the overall housing services.
With a strong focus on the transition of new developments into business as usual, you’ll play an important role in ensuring our new build homes and communities meet our requirements for creating a sustainable and manageable block/estate, and that we provide a seamless service along with creating the right first impression to our new customers.
Other responsibilities in the role include helping to co-ordinate major incidents, dealing with complex cases of customer challenges and delivering housing related projects related to service improvement.
The right candidate will have comprehensive and recent housing management knowledge, excellent organisational skills, along with strong communication and negotiation skills. You’ll be speaking with customers to identify problems and work with the team to troubleshoot these by designing and delivering responses that get to the heart of the issue, championing our "customer said, we did" approach.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Access to your own a vehicle and able to drive daily across the region.
* Hold CIH level 3 housing qualification or be committed to enrol within the first year.
* Working experience of Customer Management systems to record customer contact, with proficient IT skills and be digitally confident.
* The ability to manage challenging situations and influence difficult conversations with customers to achieve a positive outcome.
* Working experience of legal housing management processes, managing breaches of tenancy and taking cases through the court process.
* Be able to work independently and manage a varied case load within key performance service targets.
* Experience of developing and maintaining cross departmental and multi-agency working.
