The Faculty spans sixteen subject areas across three Schools – Creative Arts, Culture and Communication; Historical Studies; and Social Sciences – and the Birkbeck Centre for Counselling. /p h3 Responsibilities /h3 ul li Prepare the Faculty for the 2029 REF submission, building on its excellent research culture. /li li Lead the consolidation of the Faculty into a single building, unifying its identity and culture. /li li Maintain and enhance student recruitment, completion and retention. /li /ul h3 Qualifications /h3 ul li Demonstrable track record of academic leadership and experience of leading cultural change. /li li Credible personal research record with a background in a discipline relevant to the Faculty. /li li Evidence of innovation around education and curriculum, with a proven ability to drive improvement in educational outcomes. /li li Awareness of and appreciation for Birkbeck’s ethos and mission. /li /ul h3 Contract & Benefits /h3 p Fixed five year period with the promise of transition to a professorial position at the end of the term at an appropriate rate of remuneration.
