Join AJW as an Overhead Accountant, responsible for managing all aspects of overhead-related accounting, including accruals, prepayments and expense allocations. This role supports accurate financial reporting, ensures proper treatment of overhead costs and contributes to the integrity of the month-end close process.
What you'll be doing:
Overhead Accounting
* Process and maintain accurate records for:
* Prepayments and accruals
* Expense accruals
* Medical scheme reallocations
* Vendor Rebate reconciliations
* Respond to and resolve overhead-related queries from internal stakeholders.
Month-End and Financial Reporting
* Review all overheads to ensure correct allocation and measurement.
* Prepare the overhead file for the owner.
* Roll forward the Balance Sheet and Income Statement reports in Quantum.
* Assist with the preparation of the Tax Pack for compliance purposes.
Vendor and Procurement Support
* Manage the bank verification process for vendor set-ups and changes to vendor bank details.
* Raise Finance Purchase Orders, ensuring accurate coding
* Supporting the wider finance function where required with ad hoc duties
About you
Essential
* Solid understanding of accounting principles, especially overheads, accruals, and prepayments.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Effective communicator with the ability to manage queries from cross-functional teams.
* Proficient in Excel and familiar with ERP systems (e.g. Quantum).
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
* Experience in the aviation industry
* Experience using Quantum
