The Role
Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Sports Centre Assistant to join our team on a casual basis with hours primarily during evenings and weekends. This is an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of physical education, enrichment, and recreational programmes, ensuring students and community users enjoy safe, inclusive, and engaging sporting experiences.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
As a key member of the team, your primary responsibility will be to support the day-to-day operations of the Sports Centre and contribute to the development of a vibrant sports and enrichment programme. Specific duties will include:
* Supervising physical and recreational activities for students and external users, including evenings and weekends.
* Supporting the development and delivery of extracurricular and enrichment activities, including College sports teams and inter-college fixtures.
* Conducting gym inductions, delivering personal fitness programmes, and leading exercise classes within your qualifications.
* Assisting with the setup, maintenance, and cleanliness of sports facilities, including basic health and safety checks.
* Contributing to promotional and administrative tasks, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for all users.
