Part-Time TA – 15 hours per week
About the School and the Part-Time TA position:
Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work 2:1 with a Year 5 student who has Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental health difficulties.
1. We are looking for an TA to work on a 2:1 basis (supporting the student’s Tutor), with a student with complex difficulties including SEMH.
2. Due to the student’s challenging behaviour, we are ideally looking for somebody who has had positive handling training.
3. The successful candidate should have experience working with students with SEMH and Autism.
4. Sessions will take place in a community venue, with the Tutor, student and yourself present.
5. This is a temporary role to start ASAP and with no fixed end date (it is likely to continue until the student is able to return to school).

Experience, Training and Qualifications required for the Part-Time TA position:
13. Previous TA experience is required, ideally within the SEN Sector, although this is not essential providing you have the right attitude and desire.
14. Previous experience working with challenging behaviour would be advantageous
15. A passion for working with and making a difference to children with SEMH.
16. Pro Active in the classroom and a willingness to join in with class activities.
17. You should have lots of energy and enthusiasm with a positive attitude towards working with SEN students.
To be eligible for the Part Time TA position through Prospero Teaching you must:
18. Hold Right to Work in the UK
19. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
