An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an outstanding candidate to join The Langley, a Luxury Collection Hotel, as a Full Time Spa Assistant .
The Langley Hotel opened its doors on 1st June 2019, following an extensive six year renovation. Working alongside the award winning Dennis Irvine Studio, the multimillion pound renovation has transformed the historic Grade II-listed Langley Park House from a dilapidated former private home into a majestic countryside icon, and a hotel that encompasses the modern sensibilities and aspirations of the modern traveller.
Job Role
We are currently seeking a Full Time Spa Assistant to join our Spa team at this 5* property. This is a diverse role that combines spa operations support with food and beverage service in our dedicated Spa Lounge area. The main responsibility is to ensure our guests are provided with exceptional, professional service through meeting and exceeding their expectations across all spa facilities and dining experiences.
General Duties Include:
Spa Operations:
Support the Spa team, undertaking a wide range of duties throughout all spa, fitness, and pool areas
Maintain the highest possible standard of hygiene and cleanliness
Report any maintenance concerns so that they are fixed promptly
Ensure smooth running of the locker room facilities
Deal with towels/linen, including inventory, restocking, identifying and reporting any unsuitable items
Assist and delight guests with your charm and elegance
Spa Lounge Service:
Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
Provide detailed information about menu items, including daily specials, to assist guests in their choices
Upsell additional items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales
Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while adhering to food safety standards
Assist with drinks preparation as needed, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area
Handle guest inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring satisfaction
Maintain an organised workspace, including cleaning tables and resetting them for new guests
The Successful Candidate Should Ideally Have:
Flexibility to work weekends (this is a requirement of the role)
Proven background within a luxury hospitality/spa environment, ideally within a similar guest facing role
Previous experience of working as a waiter/waitress or spa/pool/housekeeping attendant
Excellent written and verbal English
Impeccable grooming standards and well-presented appearance
Strong customer satisfaction background with exemplary people skills
Excellent organisational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail
The ability to communicate effectively with all members of staff and management
The ability to comply with all statutory and company regulations relating to Health & Safety, Hygiene, conduct of employees, fire emergency procedures, and security of premises and property
