Job Title: Childcare Assistant
Location: Lift Caldicotes Primary Academy
Hours: 3:00pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Part-Time, Term Time Only
Pay: £15 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Childcare Assistant to support the daily operation of our after-school club. This is a hands-on role working directly with children and supporting a safe, fun and organised setting.
Key Responsibilities
Collect children safely from school and/or local childminders
Supervise children aged 5–11 during activities and free play
Deliver engaging activities including sports, games, crafts and themed sessions
Prepare and supervise snack time in line with food hygiene standards
Follow safeguarding, behaviour management and health and safety policies
Build positive relationships with parents and carers
Maintain accurate registers and incident records
Support with setup and pack away of equipment each day
Essential Requirements
Experience working with children in a school, nursery, sports coaching or similar setting
Strong behaviour management skills
Reliable, punctual and professional
Good communication skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Ability to work consistently Monday to Friday, 3pm–6pm, term time only
Desirable Requirements
Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (or working towards)
Paediatric First Aid qualification
Food Hygiene certificate
Experience in wraparound or after-school provision
Driving Requirement (Desired)
Due to child collection responsibilities, it is desirable that applicants:
Have access to their own vehicle
Hold a full UK driving licence
Have valid business insurance to transport children
Proof of driving licence and business insurance will be required if driving duties form part of the role.
