Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Chef Manager to lead our kitchen operations. This role combines culinary expertise with strong leadership and business acumen. The Chef Manager will oversee menu planning, food preparation, staff management, and budget control while ensuring exceptional food quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and execute high-quality menus tailored to customer needs.
* Lead, supervise, and motivate the kitchen team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
* Manage budgets, food costs, labour costs, and stock control to achieve financial targets.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
* Monitor and maintain consistent food quality, taste, and presentation.
* Develop seasonal menus and specials in line with business strategy.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts where needed.
* Collaborate with front-of-house and management teams to deliver a seamless dining experience.
* Drive continuous improvement in kitchen efficiency, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar role
* Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Excellent time-management and organisational skills
* Good communication skills and attention to detail
* Ability to follow instructions and work safely
* Physically fit and able to lift/move stock when required
* Right to work in the UK
