Principal DevOps Engineer – SC Clearance
Permanent opportunity with salary up to £105,000 DOE. Hybrid opportunity with Leeds based offices.
Overview
We’re hiring for DevOps Engineers at principal level to join a top consultancy delivering cutting‑edge solutions for industry‑leading Public Sector and Defence clients. You’ll have the opportunity to work across multiple high‑impact, innovative and mission‑critical projects, shaping solutions that make a real difference.
Qualifications and Eligibility
* Active SC Clearance or SC Clearance eligibility
* Leeds based or willingness to travel to Leeds
* Experience as a Senior/Principal DevOps or Platform engineering role
Essential Skills
* Strong Linux expertise (RHEL/CentOS) with experience supporting production systems
* Git for version control and collaborative development (GitHub / GitLab)
* AWS cloud infrastructure, ideally with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
* Kubernetes and container technologies (Docker) for modern platform environments
* Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling (e.g. Jenkins, Bamboo)
* Strong understanding of modern platform architecture, microservices and cloud‑native systems
* Good communication skills and ability to provide technical leadership
