Due to expansion within the Reinsurance team, a permanent role for a Treaty Broker or Facultative Broker who can speak fluent Spanish has arisen. This role requires you to be able to speak fluent Spanish. Your new role Your new role working as a Treaty Broker means you will be working directly with the LATAM Producer Placing Treaty Marine and Non-Marine risks, this role requires you to be able to speak Spanish. Your responsibilities will be present, broke and negotiate on behalf of the Treaty division to Lloyds, London and Global Re/Insurance markets either face to face or by email, phone. You will provide an efficient service to your clients (focusing on LatAm and Spanish speaking client base) and underwriters. Duties will include market / underwriter liaison mainly on a reinsurance basis, negotiating the best possible terms ensuring that all new and renewal business, mid-term amendments and general enquiries are dealt with in a professional manner. You will also be required to develop and maintain effective relationships with new and renewal clients, Underwriters and Brokers. Further duties will also include undertaking all aspects of the divisions administrative broking roles and assist in the production of placement information/documentation, record keeping and file production. On occasion, you will support the production of MRC slips and endorsements and prepare technical handover documents to present to the other offices for processing and accounting. What youll need to succeed Your previous experience working as a Placing Broker handling either Facultative or Treaty business and be a fluent Spanish speaker will contribute to your success in securing this role. Experience and understanding of the Insurance/Reinsurance markets is essential. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, good technical re/insurance knowledge, technical knowledge of policy forms / slips and endorsements, be an excellent team player and ability to work alone. You will also have proficient knowledge of the PPL / WhiteSpace placing platforms / Microsoft Office, Excel and Powerpoint packages as well as Cat Modelling knowledge required. Ideally, you will be CII qualified or studying towards it and Spanish language skills is essential for this role.
