With an MHRA-licensed facility and a reputation for compliance, quality and service, we are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our senior leadership team.
About the Role
The Production Manager will have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of Production, ensuring medicines are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with our MHRA licence requirements. You will be accountable for ensuring that all obligations under GMP/GDP are consistently met while leading, supporting and developing the Production team.
This role is critical to ensuring that every product manufactured meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and patient safety, while also contributing to continuous improvement and the growth of the organisation.
What We're Looking For
We want a strong leader and people manager who thrives in a regulated environment. Specifically, we're looking for:
* Proven leadership experience in
pharmaceutical production
, ideally within an
MHRA-licensed site
.
* Experience managing, developing and motivating teams – including implementing developmental plans, training, coaching, appraisals with a focus on maintaining strong employee relations.
* A strong track record of
scaling up manufacturing operations
or implementing new processes/systems to increase efficiency and output.
* Hands-on experience with
technical transfer
, process improvements, and embedding best practice.
* Excellent working knowledge of
GMP (Orange Guide), GDP (Green Guide), Health & Safety
, and the ability to ensure licence obligations are always met.
* A track record of delivering results in production planning, resource allocation and performance improvement.
* Confidence in maintaining and navigating the
Quality Management System
(deviations, CAPAs, change controls, documentation).
* Calm under pressure, with strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* A relevant degree in Life Sciences
