Cancer Recovery Programme Director
Here is an exciting leadership opportunity for you to join us as a Cancer Recovery Programme Director. As a subject matter expert, you will oversee the improvement, delivery, and transformation of Cancer performance and pathways for the organisation, ensuring that it serves the needs of local residents and leads sustainable improvement against national cancer standards. The post holder will work collaboratively with system partners, especially community services and primary care, providing regular updates to the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and regional teams.
Responsibilities
* Lead the development of an integrated improvement plan underpinned by individual cancer pathways encompassing pathway transformation, left shift, and cancer quality and outcomes.
* Build strong influential relationships with all staff within MSE Hospitals and beyond, engaging internal and external stakeholders.
* Ensure that senior clinicians and other stakeholders are appropriately engaged with implementation arrangements and regularly briefed on progress against key programme milestones.
* Maintain high levels of stakeholder engagement at all times, communicating highly contentious information and proposing major changes in service delivery as part of the Cancer recovery programme.
* Accountable for ensuring the Cancer Recovery Programme is appropriately structured, resourced, and delivered sustainably.
* Lead the development of the MSEFT Cancer programme pipeline of initiatives for improvement, efficiency, and transformation.
* Analyse and interpret information relating to the performance of multi‑stranded projects and highly complex project and programme data, reporting on targets and implementing strategies to manage delivery.
