Passenger Assistants Required
Ideal Locations: Abercynon, Pontypridd, Rhydyfelin or Mountain Ash
The main duties of the position will be to supervise children and students with special educational needs on their journey to and from their place of study. This will be in one of our private hire vehicles and can be either a car or a minibus (depending on the contracted route).

Having experience of working with children or adults with additional and/or complex needs would be advantageous but not mandatory as training can be provided.
You will need to be sensitive to individual needs, providing reassurance and
assistance when required. You will also communicate with parents and organisational staff to ensure the passengers have a safe journey whilst using our services.
Upon signing up, we will run an enhanced DBS certificate for you. We will cover this cost, however, we expect all candidates to upload this DBS certificate to The Update Service at their own expense (£16 Per Year Subscription). Once this has been complete, you will be entered into our candidate pool for Passenger Assistants. When a school route becomes available in your area, you will then be contacted to discuss the details of the route and the fixed rate. This will also be an opportunity for you to ask any further questions before undertaking the role.
Depending on authority body from which the route stems, this may effect if any further training is required. If any further training is required, we will be able to arrange this for you e.g. RCT Safeguarding Course (1 day).
These posts are exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitations of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
If you already hold an enhanced DBS certificate and it is on the update service, this would be highly advantageous.
