Part Time role Monday to Friday: 7.15 am – 8.45 am and 3.00 pm – 6.00 pm. Temporary short / long term.
About the Role
My client is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Breakfast Club and After‑School Club Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will help provide a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children before and after the school day.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and support children during breakfast club and after‑school sessions.
* Organise and lead age‑appropriate activities, games, and crafts.
* Prepare and serve healthy snacks and refreshments.
* Ensure the safety, well‑being, and inclusion of all children.
* Promote positive behaviour and encourage social interaction.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment.
* Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.
* Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
Person Specification
Essential
* Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or youth setting.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Caring, patient, and approachable nature.
* Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
Desirable
* Relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or 3).
* First Aid qualification.
* Experience planning activities for children.
