Warranty Administrator Birmingham £27.5k - £31k Position Overview: The Warranty Administrator is responsible for coordinating, processing, and overseeing all warranty-related activities for commercial vehicles. This role ensures accurate claim submission, compliance with manufacturer policies, and effective communication between internal teams, customers, and OEM partners. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, technical understanding, and experience in warranty, logistics, or service operations within the automotive or commercial vehicle sector. Key Responsibilities: Warranty Claim Management Process, prepare, and submit warranty claims in line with OEM guidelines and deadlines. Ensure all supporting documentation, diagnostic reports, and labour operation codes are accurately captured. Monitor claim status and follow up with manufacturers to ensure timely reimbursements. Investigate rejected claims, identify root causes, and resubmit where appropriate. Compliance & Documentation Maintain up-to-date knowledge of OEM warranty policies, procedures, and systems. Audit warranty paperwork and repair orders to ensure compliance. Keep accurate digital and physical records for audit and reporting purposes. Technical & Service Support Liaise with workshop teams to validate repair processes, labour times, and parts usage. Support service advisors and technicians with warranty-related queries. Assist in identifying recurring issues or trends that may affect product performance or customer satisfaction. Reporting & Communication Produce regular warranty performance reports, including claim recovery rates, outstanding claims, and key trends. Communicate with OEM representatives and internal stakeholders regarding claim issues, updates, and policy changes. Escalate critical warranty or technical issues when needed. Skills & Experience Essential: Experience in warranty administration, service operations, automotive logistics, or a related field. Strong understanding of commercial vehicle components, repair processes, or workshop operations. Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail. Proficiency with warranty management systems, DMS platforms, and Microsoft Office. Ability to interpret technical information, service bulletins, and repair instructions. Beneficial: Previous experience with commercial vehicle OEMs or dealerships. Knowledge of industry-standard warranty coding, labour time guides, and diagnostic tools.
