Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Sales & Marketing Manager to undertake the marketing and strategic growth of our social enterprise. With the capacity to grow into a multifaceted leadership role, this position blends business acumen, e-commerce aptitude, social impact and marketing savvy to ensure the enterprise is financially successful, on a trajectory of growth, and mission aligned.
The Sales & Marketing Manager will be responsible for staff leadership, brand visibility, meeting the sales budget, revenue growth, and impact reporting. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a purpose-driven, fast-paced, and values-orientated environment, with limited resources.
Responsibilities
1. Plan, execute and oversee the implementation of the online and offline marketing strategy for the charity.
2. Plan and deliver targeted and integrated communications campaigns through digital channels, events and PR.
3. Management of budget and sales targets, achieving revenue targets whilst managing marketing spend within agreed budgets.
4. Grow the customer base through social media, digital marketing and partnerships.
5. Manage the online search strategy (paid and organic media), including management of external agencies where applicable.
6. Implement a rigorous approach to constantly enhancing the merchandising of products on site (based on analysis of what’s working/not working and AB testing new approaches).
7. Continually improve the customer journeys to maximise conversion and user experience.
8. Support in the production of copy for promotional material, creating articulate and accurate copy that communicates our brand values, mission, and achievements consistently and effectively.
9. Oversee the development of the Fine Cell Work email and social media strategy and work with the wider team to produce eloquent, on-brand, engaging content.
10. Develop regular insightful analysis and reporting on web and offline analytics and establish appropriate sales and marketing plans as a result.
11. Provide sales information for the social impact review and for evaluation.
12. Ensure consistent and clear messaging, tone of voice and house style is maintained across all marketing communications.
13. Manage and develop strategies for product development and availability.
14. Keep up to date with relevant criminal justice news and data to ensure that FCW’s key messaging and communications remain relevant and accurate.
15. Represent FCW at events and external meetings as appropriate.

Essential skills and experience
* You are an experienced manager with proven commercial experience.
* You will be a proven digital/multi-channel leader having previously demonstrated your ability to transform digital performance across the consumer goods and/or charity markets.
* You have experience working in a commercial team to provide expertise on industry best practices and principles to generate and implement new sales and marketing initiatives to increase sales and profitability.
* You will be analytical in approach, strong numerically, commercially aware and focussed on delivering results.
* You will have a deep understanding of e-commerce strategy and online buyer behaviour and be able to manage the purchase funnel.
* Personable, with exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills, and a confident, eloquent speaker.
* Flexible, adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Accurate, thorough and diligent with impeccable attention to detail.
* Demonstrable organisation, project management, administration and coordination skills to manage a demanding, rewarding workload.
* Excellent IT skills – a competent user of all MS Office programmes.
* Experience in using online marketing tools, ideally Shopify, Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Mailchimp and social media tracking tools.
* An interest in social justice and/or retail with social purpose.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to demonstrate sensitivity around the nature of FCW’s service users and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Desirable skills and experience
* An interest in interior design.
* Photography and image enhancement skills.
* Experience working with volunteers or with volunteering yourself.
Location, type and salary
Location: Battersea, London
This is a full-time permanent role and primarily office-based. The option of working four days a week (with pro-rata salary) will be considered.
Salary: in the region of £40,000 full time, based on experience.
