Job Description
We’re recruiting an Employee Relations Consultant. We offer a competitive base salary. At Legal & General, we foster a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. As an Employee Relations Consultant, you’ll help shape a positive employee experience and ensure our policies reflect our values and the evolving work environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing expert advice on employee relations to managers and HR colleagues
* Supporting organisational change projects, including restructures and TUPE transfers
* Building strong partnerships with HR, business leaders, and trade union representatives
* Delivering coaching and training to enhance ER capabilities
* Monitoring employment legislation and recommending policy updates
* Analyzing ER data to identify trends and inform decisions
* Advising on complex employee relations cases with a focus on resolution
* Promoting fairness, inclusion, and continuous improvement culture
Qualifications:
* CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification or equivalent experience
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
* Experience in a unionized environment
* Proven ability to manage complex ER cases and resolve conflicts
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
* Commercial awareness and understanding of business priorities
* Ability to interpret data and provide insights
* Collaborative mindset and commitment to positive employee outcomes
