Join our People Team as a Payroll Advisor and play a key role in ensuring colleagues are paid accurately and on time. You’ll work closely with payroll, HR and finance colleagues to administer payroll processes, resolve queries and support continuous improvement initiatives. We’ll provide role‑specific training and opportunities to develop your payroll and employment law knowledge, with regular mentoring and clear guidance to help you succeed.
In this role you’ll be part of a small, collaborative team, so you’ll need to be organised, methodical and comfortable working to deadlines. You’ll manage payroll data, prepare and run payroll cycles, reconcile payroll reports and support month‑end activities. You’ll also handle payroll‑related queries from colleagues and third‑party providers, ensuring sensitive information is managed securely and professionally.
The role will sometimes require flexibility around payroll deadlines and reporting periods. We’ll make sure you’re supported with clear processes, access to the right systems and guidance on workload prioritisation.
What we’re dreaming of seeing:
We’re looking for someone reliable, numerate and detail‑focused with strong communication skills. You should be confident working with spreadsheets and payroll software, able to spot and investigate discrepancies, and comfortable explaining pay information to colleagues at all levels. A proactive approach to problem solving, good time management and the ability to work accurately under pressure will help you thrive.
Ideally, you’ll have previous payroll experience or relevant payroll qualifications (for example, CertRP or equivalent) and a basic understanding of UK statutory pay, tax and National Insurance. Familiarity with pension auto‑enrolment, RTI and CIS is desirable. Experience with HRIS or payroll systems and strong Excel skills will be advantageous.
We welcome applications from everyone and encourage you to bring your authentic self to work. We value diverse perspectives and treat all applicants and colleagues with respect.

* Group life assurance and income protection* (subject to qualifying periods)
