The Role:
We are looking to recruit a Lecturer Carpentry at our Rainham Campus.
We are seeking dynamic industry professionals interested in transitioning into education either full tie or as a dual professional. This role offers 52 days of holiday and full funding for a Level 5 Certificate in Education. If you're considering a career change or a move into education, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. The college will support you in completing your teaching qualification, which is essential for this role.
Join our experienced teaching and assessing team at our Rainham Campus and make a difference in the lives of our students.
Who You Are:
We are seeking an industry professional with exceptional communication and organisational skills to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate will be highly flexible, capable of engaging and inspiring 16-19-year-old learners in both practical and theoretical aspects of Carpentry. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences, or a strong desire to develop these skills. Industry expertise in Carpentry is essential, along with a Level 3 qualification in the field. A solid understanding of current Carpentry practices is also desirable.
Key Skills and Experience:
We are looking for passionate industry professionals to join our teaching team and inspire the next generation of Carpentry experts. Ideally, candidates will have experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our Carpentry learners or possess significant industry experience.
Given the technical nature of our Carpentry Programme, applicants must have industry expertise and hold a Level 3 qualification in Carpentry. A firm grasp of current carpentry practices is also essential. While teaching experience is desirable, it is not required. We provide training and support, but candidates must commit to obtaining a Level 5 Certificate in Education.
If you hold an assessors qualification this would be desirable.
If you are enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge and shaping the future of young professionals, we would love to hear from you.

* To teach and assess learning on a range of courses, which include 16-18s and adult learners. Courses range from level 1 up to level 3, including college based qualifications and apprenticeships.
