We operate a small, personal 3-bed home, allowing us to focus intensely on the needs of children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and mild to moderate Learning Difficulties.

The Opportunity: Operational Leadership
As the Deputy Manager, you will be the operational lead on the ground, supporting the Registered Manager in all aspects of service delivery, quality assurance, and staff development within the Chorley home.
Your Core Responsibilities will include:
* Operational Management: Take charge of the day-to-day running of the children's home, ensuring a safe, consistent, and nurturing environment.
* Staff Leadership: Provide strong, supportive, and motivating leadership to the care team, overseeing shifts, daily supervision, and maintaining a positive work culture.
* Quality Assurance & Compliance: Assist the Registered Manager in implementing robust quality assurance systems and preparing the home for successful Ofsted inspections.
* Care Planning: Ensure personalised care plans are developed, implemented, and reviewed effectively, advocating for the well-being and progress of the young people.
* Resource Coordination: Oversee the allocation of resources and effective shift scheduling.
What You'll Bring
* Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential, and working towards or holding a Level 5 Diploma is highly desirable.
* A minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory or senior role within a children's residential setting.
* A demonstrable track record of working effectively with children presenting with EBD and complex needs.
* Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Quality Standards and relevant legislation.
* Excellent communication, leadership, and crisis management skills.
* A full, valid Driving Licence is essential.
