Hays Senior Finance is delighted to be partnering with a large Public Sector organisation with offices in Chesterfield and London who are looking to add a Finance Analyst to their FP&A Team.
Your new role
The role forms a core part of the FP&A finance team. The finance analyst will be instrumental in delivering transformation and benefits: financial reporting, forecasting analysis and decision support. The role will report to the Head of FP&A for transformation and investments and will work alongside other finance and business stakeholders within the changemunity. This role does not have any direct reports.Your responsibility will include, supporting monthly reporting of investment spending and benefits, maintaining project resource costs (Skills Group) reporting, along with associated journals and procedures.
Support the maintenance of financial structures and processes around Change Spend monthly financial reporting, forecasting and annual budgeting – in Anaplan (business planning tool). Delivery of the Strategic Portfolio Office (SPO) related to month-end activities (including contractor cost reviews and postings). Provide financial information and reporting to internal and external stakeholders on a monthly and ad-hoc basis. You will work with Finance and Change teams to coordinate and consolidate forecasts and actual results, understand reported variances and challenge teams to provide accurate and usefulmentary. Ensure SPO & Finance alignment regarding controls and processes and help produce and maintain training materials and templates where appropriate and useful to drive consistent and best practice across the investment space. Maintain Power BI project finances report and review WBS hierarchy between CFS/SAP, ServiceNow and Web3. Work with SPO and the wider finance team to improve best practice on investment activities including around business cases, monthly reporting and forecasting, and training.
What you'll need to succeed

2. Full or partial finance qualification
3. Strong Excel, work and powerpoint skills
4. SAP orparable tool experience
5. Goodmunication and stakeholder management skills
6. Demonstrable experience of financial modelling
7. Experience on reporting and approval processes
