Finance Manager Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications). This is a full-time role & is office-based (Monday to Friday). Are you an experienced finance professional ready to lead from the front? We’re looking for a confident and capable Finance Manager to take ownership of a busy finance function and lead a small, high-performing team of finance assistants. This is a hands-on role where leadership meets precision, perfect for someone who enjoys driving process, inspiring people, and seeing the bigger picture. What You’ll Be Doing: Oversee the full scope of financial operations – from raising invoices and managing supplier payments to credit control, banking, and expenses. Lead a smooth, accurate month-end close process, including the preparation and posting of journals, reconciliation of payroll, cash, and stock, and maintenance of the fixed asset register. Compile monthly management accounts, delivering Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reporting alongside clear financial commentary. Maintain up-to-date and accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations and support submission of consolidated results to group finance. Own the monthly payroll cycle from end to end – coordinating closely with the payroll provider to ensure timely and accurate processing. Manage pension auto-enrolment communications and ensure all related processes are in place. Keep a close eye on fixed costs and support budget tracking across the business. Ensure full compliance with tax obligations including VAT returns and corporation tax. Provide insights and data to assist with treasury and cashflow forecasting. Take an active role in preparing for the annual audit and liaising with external auditors. Help shape and refine financial policies and internal controls to maintain integrity and compliance. Ensure statutory filings, financial records, and payments are always current and compliant. Offer guidance and oversight to the finance assistants, supporting smooth transactional processing and exceptional service to internal teams. Tackle ad hoc challenges and contribute to wider finance projects in collaboration with senior leadership.What We’re Looking For: Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA). Strong background in financial leadership, ideally within a similar role. Confident in managing both people and processes – with experience coaching teams and running month-end to deadline. Track record of working cross-functionally and influencing across both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Calm under pressure, organised, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in working with ERP systems (SAP Business One or equivalent experience is essential).
