We are recruiting for an Obstetric and Gynae Lead Sonographer who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The department works closely with the women's health team to deliver high-quality scan reports.
Our state-of-the-art equipment and strong support from our commercial partners support sonographer development. You will be at the forefront of developing improved pathways to support women using your experience and knowledge of imaging.
Our multi-skilled sonographer team rotate across all three sites and provide a 7-day emergency service at the Lister, our acute site, and are working towards 7-day services at the New QEII hospital to support the Community Diagnostic Hub.

As the Lead Reporting Sonographer for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, you will play a major role in ultrasound imaging supporting high clinical standards.
You will assist in developing departmental policies and procedures and contribute to service development and quality improvement.
The post holder will be involved in writing training documents and competencies for specific procedures.
You will act as an academic and clinical mentor to educate and support those learning ultrasound procedures or research, including radiologists, radiographers, RDA's, and other disciplines.
The successful candidate will participate in and have an active role in audit and clinical governance.
