Project Manager – Solar / Renewable Energy (UK)
We are currently working with a leading client in the renewable energy sector who is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of utility-scale solar projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic EPC environment, working on high-profile projects and playing a key role in delivering large-scale energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and budget
* Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, design, finance, and site teams
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution
* Develop and manage detailed project programmes and track progress
* Oversee budgets, cost control, and resource allocation
* Manage subcontractor packages, RFQs, and contract administration
* Ensure compliance with QHSE standards and company procedures
* Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise
* Prepare and present weekly and monthly progress reports
* Support project handover to operations teams
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or similar
* Proven experience delivering solar or renewable energy projects (EPC environment preferred)
* Strong understanding of project lifecycle and construction delivery
* Experience managing subcontractors and multiple stakeholders
* Knowledge of project planning tools (e.g. MS Project)
* Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous
