A contractor specialising in structural steel is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Salary: £40,000 Start Date: ASAP Work Arrangement: Full-time, on-site Work Hours: 8:30 -17:00 Key Responsibilities * Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, and documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates * Analyse materials, labour, and time requirements for a range of steelwork projects * Collaborate closely with project and commercial teams to ensure alignment with budgets and timelines * Prepare tender submissions and support bid processes * Monitor costs and update estimates throughout project progression Qualifications * Proven experience in construction estimating, ideally within the structural steel sector * Solid understanding of steelwork fabrication and construction processes * Proficiency in estimating or project management software * Strong numerical and analytical skills * Effective communicator and team player * Relevant qualifications such as HND or degree in construction management or related field * Professional membership (e.g. RICS) would be advantageous but not essential Project Values: Ranging from £10,000 to £500,000 Interested applicants are invited to apply by sending their most up-to-date CV
