Warehouse Supervisor / Warehouse Manager Location: Motherwell, Scotland
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday | Twilight Shift (15:30 00:30)
Employment Type: Temp to Perm (12 weeks) or Immediate Permanent Start
A market-leading corporate organisation within the construction and building materials sector is seeking an ambitious Warehouse Supervisor / Warehouse Manager to join their Motherwell depot.
This is a succession role, designed for a senior supervisor or manager with clear aspirations to progress into higher management or full depot management, working closely under the wing of the current Depot Manager who is planning for retirement.
The Role You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and service levels are consistently met.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing daily warehouse operations within a fast-paced distribution environment
Overseeing picking and packing teams on site
Coordinating warehouse loading operations each morning
Liaising with HGV drivers and transport operations
Ensuring building materials are prepared and dispatched efficiently (all palletised and forklifted)
Maintaining high standards of health & safety and operational compliance
Supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence
About the Operation Distribution of building materials on pallets
Forklift offload by driver or customer
Established, high-volume depot within a huge corporate market leader
Strong focus on training, development, and internal progression
Candidate Requirements Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager, or similar senior operational role
Experience within the construction or building materials sector is highly desirable
Strong understanding of building materials is a significant advantage
Confident managing people and operational workflows
Ambition to progress into senior management or depot management
Strong communication skills, including working with drivers and site teams
