Job Purpose

TESTQ Technologies is an IT services and solutions company whose offerings spans over variety of industry sectors with strong technical, domain and process expertise helping clients grow their businesses and decrease operational costs on continuous basis in an ever‑changing business environment.

We are seeking an experienced Lead DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of hands‑on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks, and system reliability. The ideal candidate will drive DevOps strategy, lead engineering initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with development, QA, and architecture teams to deliver highly scalable, secure, and resilient systems.


Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities)

* Lead and oversee end-to-end DevOps practices across build, release, automation, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
* Architect, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
* Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for multiple environments.
* Champion Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation practices across the organization.
* Collaborate with development teams to improve software delivery performance and reliability.
* Drive containerization, orchestration, and microservices deployment strategies.
* Establish and enforce cloud security, compliance, and governance standards.
* Lead incident management, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem activities.
* Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, enforcing best practices.
* Continuously evaluate new tools and technologies for process improvements.


Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or related field.
* 10+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
* Deep, hands‑on expertise in leading and managing large‑scale cloud environments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, including core services such as compute, networking, security, storage, and managed databases.
* Highly proficient in designing and implementing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform as the primary tool, and experienced with additional IaC frameworks like CloudFormation, Pulumi, or Ansible.
* Extensive experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and strong proficiency in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS/GKE), including Helm, RBAC, ingress controllers, and service mesh tools.
* Architect robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI, with a strong emphasis on pipeline‑as‑code, automated testing, and continuous delivery of best practices.
* Strong scripting and automation skills in languages like Python, Bash, Go, or Shell, with the ability to build automation frameworks and integrate with APIs.
* Solid understanding of Linux system administration, including OS internals, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and log analysis.
* Hands‑on experience with monitoring, logging, and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog, New Relic, or CloudWatch, building dashboards, alerts, and distributed tracing systems.
* Strong knowledge of Git‑based workflows, version control best practices, branching strategies, code reviews, and GitOps methodologies using ArgoCD or FluxCD.
* Foundation in DevSecOps practices, including secrets management (Vault, SSM, KMS), container scanning, dependency scanning, and implementation of SAST/DAST tools.
* Capable of designing and automating complex build and deployment processes using artifact management tools such as Nexus or JFrog Artifactory, implementing blue/green, canary, and rolling releases.
* Experience with cloud networking concepts—VPC design, VPNs, load balancers, DNS, routing, security groups, and firewalls—for secure and scalable architectures.
* Knowledge of microservices architecture, API gateways, distributed systems, and service reliability principles.
* Capable of driving SRE‑oriented practices, defining SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and conducting incident responses, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortems.

GBP 52,500 to 60,000 per annum
