The Role As the Facilities Manager, you will be the custodian of the school’s physical assets. You will lead a site team to ensure the buildings are not only functional and compliant but also reflect the pride and standards of the school community. Key Responsibilities: Site Compliance: Managing all statutory testing (fire safety, legionella, asbestos) and maintaining the school’s Health & Safety policy. Contractor Management: Procuring and overseeing external trades, from cleaners and caterers to major construction firms. Project Management: Planning and executing small-to-medium scale renovation projects and capital improvements. Budgeting: Managing the site and maintenance budget effectively to ensure maximum value for the school. Security & Lettings: Overseeing school security protocols and managing out-of-hours community use of the facilities. Why This School? Our Ideal Candidate: Holds a recognized Health & Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH ). Has proven experience in facilities or estate management, preferably within a large public sector or educational setting. Possesses a solid understanding of building trades (plumbing, electrical, or carpentry). Is a strong communicator who can liaise effectively with governors, staff, and external partners.
