Responsibilities:
* Preparing statutory accounts for UK companies
* Liaison with reporting team and local auditors for European company audits.
* Preparation of UK VAT returns for two VAT groups and liaising with European accountants to provide information for local VAT returns.
* Preparation of government statistical reporting for the UK and Ireland
* Working with reporting teams to understand differences between US and Local GAAP
* Liaising with tax team to ensure Statutory Accounts can be efficiently processed for Corporation tax.
* Supporting internal, SOX, and external audits.
* Maintaining strong internal controls in areas handled.
Requirements:
* Qualified accountant or working towards ACA or ACCA qualification.
* 4+ years of experience in accounting and reporting.
* Experience in an international company desirable.
* Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and development skills.
* Ability to manage deadlines effectively, prioritize work tasks, and handle a dynamic work environment.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and draw insightful conclusions.
* Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
* A team player with integrity and a sound work ethic.
* Strong MS Excel skills and exposure to an ERP system.
* Strong process-oriented mindset with high attention to detail.
Work Environment:
This role is based out of our Restaurant Support Centre (RSC) in Woking (around 25 minutes by train from London Waterloo) and a minimum of 1 day per week in the RSC is required, plus occasional other days for team or market meetings.
