As part of their ongoing growth, my client is looking for an experienced Backend Magento Developer to join their fully remote development team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimising Magento 2 websites across multiple client accounts. Working closely with front-end developers, project managers, and technical leads, the Backend Magento Developer will ensure high-quality, efficient, and scalable code delivery.
Optimise backend performance for large-scale and high-traffic eCommerce sites.
Follow best practices for version control, documentation, and clean coding standards.
Integrate with third-party systems including payment gateways, ERPs, and CRMs.
Minimum of 3 years commercial experience in Magento 2 backend development.
Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and RESTful API development.
Familiarity with Composer, Git, and modern deployment workflows.
Previous experience working within a digital agency environment is highly desirable.
Experience with Docker, Linux, or cloud hosting environments.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Competitive salary of 55,000 per annum.
