Prospero Teaching are seeking a compassionate and engaging tutor to support a Year 11 student who has missed a significant amount of school and is working towards GCSE English and Maths. The learner has a diagnosis of ASD and ADHD, and responds well to creative and sensory-based engagement-she enjoys music and fidget toys. Proposed Timetable: Week A: Monday: 11:05am - 12:55pm Tuesday: 10:00am - 12:00pm Wednesday: 9:00am - 10:45am Thursday: 11:05am - 12:55pm Friday: 11:05am - 12:55pmWeek B: Monday: 11:05am - 12:55pm Tuesday: 10:00am - 12:00pm Wednesday: 10:00am - 12:00pm Thursday: 9:00am - 10:45am Friday: 9:00am - 10:45am As a Tutor, you will: - Support the young person to prepare for their GCSE exams - Be adaptable in your approach to sessions and create engaging, practical activities where possible to support learning - Provide a positive, supportive and encouraging learning environment - Tailor sessions to the student's interests (e.g., music, sensory tools) About you: Experience working with learners with SEN Patient, creative, and nurturing approach Comfortable with the GCSE Maths and English curriculumPosition -Tutor Contract or position start date - ASAP Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A Full time/part-time - Varied Hours - Various/ flexible hours Essential & Desirable Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people Experience of working with learners with SENTo be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must: Hold right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide references upon request Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
