The Role As an Outdoor Education Teaching Assistant, you will: Support pupils during outdoor and experiential learning activities Provide 1:1 and small group support, particularly for learners with additional needs Help deliver engaging, practical sessions that build confidence and resilience Encourage teamwork, independence, and emotional regulation Support positive behaviour strategies in active environments Assist with preparing resources and ensuring outdoor activities are safe and inclusive Work outdoors in varying weather conditions You'll play a key role in helping young people re-engage with education through meaningful, real-world learning experiences. About You We're looking for someone who: Has experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, outdoor settings) Is confident, calm, and adaptable Has a genuine passion for outdoor learning and active education Is resilient and able to manage behaviour positively Works well independently and as part of a team Is physically active and comfortable working outdoors year-round Holds an Enhanced DBS (or is willing to obtain one) Experience supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH, or additional needs is highly desirable.
