Job Overview
Riversdale Surgery is looking to recruit a friendly, reliable, and professional Phlebotomist to join our busy practice team. This is an important patient‑facing role, providing a safe and efficient blood‑taking service to support clinicians in the diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities
* Carry out venepuncture clinics, preparing and handling specimens correctly.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure a high standard of patient care at all times.
* Work closely with nursing, administrative and clinical teams to support patient care and ensure smooth running of clinics.
* Report to the Nurse Manager, receiving day‑to‑day support and supervision.
* Run phlebotomy clinics, reassure and assist patients, monitor stock levels of equipment, and raise concerns appropriately.
* Ensure infection prevention and control procedures are followed.
Qualifications & Skills
* Excellent communication skills, calm and caring manner.
* Ability to work efficiently in a busy healthcare environment.
* Relevant healthcare experience or experience as a phlebotomist.
Training & Support
Full training and ongoing support will be provided where required, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced phlebotomist or someone with relevant healthcare experience looking to develop further within primary care.
