Their two-sided Exchange platform connects brokers and insurers to trade complex risks in a data-driven, algorithmic way — bringing a new era of transparency and efficiency to a traditionally opaque sector.
Since launching in late 2022, they’ve processed over $20M in premium in their first year, quadrupled that in 2024, and reached profitability. They are now targeting $1bn in premium flow by the end of 2026.
About the Role:
Our client is hiring a Commercial Associate to help grow and manage both sides of their Exchange — brokers and insurers — and drive their go-to-market strategy. You'll work directly with the Commercial team and cross-functionally across the business to deliver growth, strengthen customer relationships, and optimise operations and compliance processes.
Responsibilities:
* Build and manage a well-structured pipeline of prospective broker and insurer customers.
* Develop a deep understanding of market dynamics and strategically advance prospects toward active participation on the Exchange.
* Own key customer relationships from the outset, acting as a trusted point of contact.
* Identify and prioritise key customers across the corporate and specialty insurance markets.
* Enhance the value proposition through insight gathering, stakeholder engagement, and long-term relationship development.
* Draft and manage contracts with insurer customers, ensuring regulatory and legal requirements are met efficiently.
* Continuously improve the contracting process to maximise speed and effectiveness.
* Lead the creation and refinement of marketing materials, pitch decks, and brand collateral to communicate the company's story and value effectively to external stakeholders.
* Collaborate with Ops and Data teams to analyse customer behaviour, market trends, and risk-trading practices.
* Work closely with teams across Commercial, Ops, Product, and Data to align objectives, monitor performance metrics, and maintain operational excellence.
Requirements:
* 1+ years of experience, ideally in financial services, fintech, or a high-growth tech environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders.
* Eye for detail with the ability to review and manage commercial agreements (legal training not required).
* Proven ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and initiative.
* Customer-first attitude with a commercial lens on value creation.
