Procurement & Housekeeper Support Band 3
Critical Care, Inverclyde Royal Hospital
Permanent – 0.8wte, 29.6hrs per week
Critical Care on the IRH site includes a mixed High Dependency and Coronary Care Unit with facilities for stabilising patients requiring Intensive Care prior to transfer.
This is a permanent, part time position of 29.7 hours per week over 5 days. The post holder will work Monday – Friday, hours of work to be discussed with the Senior Charge Nurse.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual required to join the team based in the Critical Care Unit at Inverclyde Royal Hospital.
In the role of Housekeeper you are pivotal in helping the smooth running of the unit, working closely with the SCN.
You should be flexible, reliable, and self-motivated and demonstrate ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Applicants should have excellent verbal and written communication skills with an understanding of basic computer skills.
The post holder will facilitate a safe, clean and tidy environment. You will be responsible to ensure that all Infection control and prevention standards are maintained. You may be required to support audits of these standards.
You will be responsible for stock management, ensuring that adequate stock levels are reviewed and maintained. You will liaise with other departments to source and order the required stock/equipment to ensure safe patient care can be delivered.
You will support the delivery of food, fluid & nutrition standards to our patient's by supporting meal time service and you will be responsible for liaising with other departments to facilitate dietary requirements.
Previous experience in a health care environment is desirable but not essential.
