Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join the Farbman Group team. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting building systems to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for .
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs of apartment homes, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems.
* Respond promptly to service requests and maintenance emergencies, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
* Monitor building systems and equipment to ensure efficiency, safety, and proper operation.
* Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of work orders, equipment status, and inventory of supplies.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and applicable housing regulations.
* Assist with unit turns, including preparing vacant apartments for new .
* Support the overall upkeep of the community, including common areas, amenities, and curb appeal.
* Assist in managing maintenance supplies and staying within budget guidelines.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in maintenance, building systems, or a related field .
* 3+ years of experience in residential or multifamily property maintenance .
* Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, appliance repair, and general apartment maintenance.
* Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues efficiently, including in occupied units.
* Familiarity with safety standards, OSHA guidelines, and applicable housing regulations.
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with, team members, and vendors.
* Good organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations, evenings, and weekends as needed.
