The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle Is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Specialist Nurse to join their team of staff in the Outpatients department.
This is a Part time role for 22.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role
* Deliver safe, high-quality, evidence-based care within your area of specialism, acting as a clinical expert and role model.
* Support assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with complex or long-term conditions.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of care pathways and protocols based on national guidelines and best practice.
* Provide education, support, and counselling to patients and families, empowering them to understand and manage their health conditions.
* Act as a key contact for patients, ensuring consistent, coordinated care throughout their treatment journey.
* Signpost to additional services and resources to support holistic care.
Applicants should meet the following criteria
* Registered Nurse (Adult, Child, or Mental Health, depending on specialty) with valid NMC registration.
* Significant post-registration experience in the relevant specialty area.
* Demonstrable specialist knowledge and advanced clinical skills within a defined field.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Postgraduate qualification or recognised specialist training in the relevant clinical area.
* Non-medical prescribing qualification (if applicable to role).
* Experience in audit, service improvement, or clinical leadership.
* Teaching or mentorship qualification.
