Berry Home Centers is seeking a self-motivated, high-energy Inside Sales Representative to join our team. We are looking for someone who has industry knowledge or a strong aptitude to learn quickly and who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The ideal candidate takes initiative, learns independently, and understands the importance of both closing sales and building long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service with a professional, solutions-oriented approach.
* Proactively listen to customer needs and recommend tailored product solutions for each project.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and vendors.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised showroom that reflects our commitment to quality and readiness.
* Read blueprints and perform material take-offs for residential and light commercial projects.
* Identify and resolve field-related issues in coordination with management and customers.
* Stay current on industry trends, new products, and innovations through independent research and trade publications.
* Learn and utilize software platforms including Microsoft Office and Bistrack point-of-sale.
* Deliver persuasive, professional sales presentations demonstrating product value and how Berry can meet customer needs.
Qualifications
* 2 years of industry experience or exposure to the building materials industry preferred.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay on task without constant supervision.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Comfortable working independently, problem-solving, and taking initiative.
* Ability to learn technical product information and apply it to customer solutions.
Compensation
Total compensation includes a competitive base salary in the $40K-$60K range based on experience, plus uncapped commissions based on sales performance and margin contribution. Talented and experienced reps can earn well above the base, especially if they have strong customer relationships or product knowledge. We reward hustle, teamwork, and results.
