If you're a Mechanical Technician/fitter with supervisory experience and are looking to work for a leading organisation who invests in training and professional development of their employees, then upload your CV to apply today Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for: Co-ordinating contractors on site to ensure a safe and efficient working environment Tain contractors on site in the performance on their role and ensure all necessary training records are up to date Carry out fault diagnosis on site and rectify as required Ensure the maintenance plans and targets are achieved Conduct plant inspections and safety inspections Carry out risk assessments Maintain and develop industrial relations with contractors through effective communication Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Ideally have a mechanical engineering qualification such as City and Guilds or NVQ A health and safety qualification such as an IOSH will be highly advantageous Personal skills, prior experience and knowledge The Mechanical Contractor Supervisor would suit someone who has: Prior experience working in a heavy engineering environment such as power generation, petrochemical, steel works, CHP plant, paper mill etc. Experience in managing contractors Excellent communication skills Good stakeholder management experience Salary and benefits of the Mechanical Contractor Supervisor role A salary of £48,000 Overtime Private healthcare (family cover) Other benefits Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
